My Dearest Wife,

I was glad to hear of your safe arrival.

You will be pleased to read Arthur’s letter by which you will see he has earned the £10 scholarship for under 15 years of age.

We are getting along all right at home, Ethel has taken their bike up to have a new back tyre, the other was completely worn out.  The roses do not come out fast yet as the weather although warmer is dull at times, however I hope to exhibit some next Wednesday.  Have you managed to go to Byfleet yet, ascertain if they would really like me to come.

How is Baby getting on give the little pet a kiss for me, I hope she will treat her godmother with due respect.

There is really no news and I want to catch morning mail.

With much love
Your affectionate Husband

Julius Sladden

Have written to all the chicks.
