The inaugural Richard Phillips Memorial Lecture was held in May 2016 to commemorate the life of Richard Phillips. When Richard died suddenly in October 2015, the Committee decided it would like to honour Richard in some way because of the huge contribution he had made to the Society. After some discussion, it was agreed that a virtual memorial would be appropriate.
