BADSEY WEDDING
Mr F Masters and Miss E J Jelfs
The marriage took place on Saturday at St James’ Church, Badsey, of Miss Evelyn Joyce Jelfs, third daughter of Mr & Mrs Frank Jelfs of 4 Bowers Hill, Badsey, and Mr Frank Masters, second son of Mr & Mrs Charles Masters of 7 Collett’s Gardens, Broadway. Canon W C Allsebrook, RD, officiated.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress of dusky pink with navy accessories. She carried a shower bouquet of pink roses and maidenhair fern.
The bride was attended by Miss Frances Jelfs (sister) who wore a blue dress with clover accessories. She carried an ivory prayer book, the gift of the bridegroom.
A/C Eric Ladbrook (friend of the bridegroom) was best man. On leaving the church the bride was presented with silver horseshoes by the Misses Pamela Ingles and Norina Brotherton.
The bride’s mother wore a floral dress with navy accessories, while the bridegroom’s mother was attired in a brown costume with matching accessories. Forty guests attended a reception at the bride’s home.
Mr & Mrs F Masters will make their future home at 7 Collett’s Gardens, Broadway.
