My Dearest Wife,
I am rather busy this evening but will just write a line before post time to let you know the chicks are all well. We are all looking forward to Saturday to see you and Kitty, we shall be so happy to be together again my darling, shan’t we?
I shall be in waiting for you with a fly at 5.30 and hope you will arrive safely and in good time. If it is very cold ask for a foot-warmer and be sure and wrap up well and have your nice warm shawl for your knees. I hope all the Surbiton children are well give my love to them and also to Fanny & Charlie to whom I owe many thanks for their great care of you. Believe me ever, with fond love, your very
affectionate Husband
