Please join us for a visit to Stourbridge Glass Museum and Red House Glass Cone. We will be spending the morning at the Glass Museum, starting with refreshments on arrival, followed by a Heritage Glass talk and a guided tour of the museum.

Stourbridge Glass Museum takes visitors on a journey back in time – learn about the origins of glass making in Stourbridge, discover the tools glass makers used, sit in a glass maker’s chair, and explore the museum’s extensive glass collections, some dating back 400 years. There is also a suite of digital interactive screens that give museum goers the chance to get creative and design their very own cameo glass before emailing it to themselves or a friend.

Participants can bring a picnic lunch, or alternatively , buy lunch at the fish and chip shop next to the museum, which has space for about 50 diners, and serves pizzas and jacket potatoes as well as fish and chips – you can see the menu at https://theoceanboat.co.uk/ or there is a pub about 5 minutes’ walk away which serves a variety of reasonably priced food  - https://www.glassworkspubstourbridge.co.uk/

After lunch, you can visit the Red House Glass Cone (free entry), one of only four left in the country, and where there are designer-maker studios, a hot glass studio and industrial collections.

The coach will leave Badsey at 9.15 a.m. and return to Badsey for 4.30 p.m.

The cost for the day is £28. For further details, please contact Shirley Tutton - shirleytutton@talktalk.net or 07740 286941
