For his work with the Royal British Legion, the third Tony Jerram award was presented to Les Grinnell at the Annual General Meeting on Friday 11th February 2011.
Born and bred in Badsey, Les Grinnell went to work for Littleton & Badsey Growers after leaving school. He remained with them for his working life, apart from a spell in the Armed Forces. He was initially involved with the tractor side of the business but moved on to herb growing.
He has been involved with the running of the Royal British Legion for over 30 years and, for the last 17 years, has been the local organiser of the British Legion Poppy appeal.
Les was presented with his award by Mrs Barbara Jerram.
