Saturday 29 April 1933 – Wedding of Lilian Mary Mustoe at Badsey

DISTRICT NEWS, BADSEY – WEDDING

A wedding of considerable local interest took place at St James’ Church on Monday afternoon when Miss Lilian Mary Mustoe, third daughter of Mr & Mrs Ernest E Mustoe of the Royal Oak Inn, Bretforton Road, was married to Mr Arthur Edward Langstone, youngest son of Mr & Mrs G Langstone of Fladbury.  The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar (Canon W C Allsebrook, RD).

Saturday 22 April 1933 – Wedding of Alice Elizabeth Brooks at Badsey

The marriage took place on Monday of Miss Alice Elizabeth Brooks, eldest daughter of the late Mr W Brooks and of Mrs T Bennett of 12 Cotswold View, Badsey, and Mr Ernest George Knight, eldest son of Mrs and the late Mr E Knight of Middle Littleton.  The Vicar (Canon Allsebrook, RD) officiated.

Saturday 25 February 1933 – Wedding of Douglas Austin Jelfs at Badsey

DISTRICT NEWS, BADSEY – RANGERS’ SKIPPER WEDS

The wedding took place at St James’ Church on Thursday afternoon of Miss Freda Knight, youngest daughter of the late Mr & Mrs Edwin Knight of Victoria Terrace, Bretforton, and Mr Douglas Austin Jelfs, eldest son of Mr & Mrs William H Jelfs of Lindwood Villas, Badsey.  The Vicar of Offenham (Rev E H Combs) officiated.  The ceremony was choral.  Psalm 67 and the hymn “The voice that breathed o’er Eden” and “How welcome was the Call” being sung.  Mr Leslie Sharp was at the organ.

Saturday 18 February 1933 – Wedding of Frances Evelyn Christabella Wheeler at Badsey

DISTRICT NEWS, BADSEY – WHEELER-READE WEDDING

The wedding took place at St James’ Church on Thursday of Miss Frances Evelyn Christabella Wheeler, eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs F R Wheeler of 33 Synehurst, Badsey, and Mr Arthur Sidney Read, only son of Mr & Mrs A S Read of Bidford-on-Avon.  The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar (Canon W C Allsebrook).
