BADSEY WEDDING
A pretty wedding took place at St James’ Church on Saturday, the contracting parties being Miss Ruby Mabel Hatch, youngest daughter of Mr & Mrs F W Hatch of 18 Synehurst and Mr James Henry Martin, only son of the late Mr & Mrs T Martin of Cropthorne. The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar (Canon Allsebrook).
BADSEY – PRETTY WEDDING
In bright sunshine, the wedding took place at the Parish Church on Saturday last of Miss Mildred Pearl Hatch, elder daughter of Mr & Mrs W F Hatch of 18 Synehurst, and Mr Francis Henry Sandford, son of the late Mrs Sandford and Mr W Sandford of 11 Synehurst. The Vicar (Canon W C Allsebrook, RD) officiated.

The German Radio station of Friesland announced last Friday that Corporal Sydney John Vale, 13 Synehurst Avenue, Badsey, and Gunner Reginald James Lamb of 32 Coronation Street, Evesham, were prisoners.
CATHOLIC CEREMONY AT EVESHAM – Miss J Sandford & Mr F M Dooley
The marriage was solemnised at St Mary's Catholic Church, Evesham, on Wednesday week, of Miss Jean Sandford, only daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Sandford, of 32 Synehurst, Badsey, and Mr Frederick M Dooley, third son of Mr and the late Mrs J Dooley, of Boston, Massachusetts, USA. The ceremony was performed by Father A J Proudman.
MRS LYDIA BAYLEY, BADSEY
The funeral took place on Monday at St James’ Church, Badsey, of Mrs Lydia Bayley of 13 Synehurst, Badsey, whose death occurred at Avonside Hospital on Friday.
Aged 66 years, Mrs Bayley was the second daughter of Mr & Mrs Richard Keen of Badsey. She is survived by her husband and a daughter.
OBITUARY – MRS ROSE BELL, BADSEY
The death occurred on Sunday at the home of her son, Mr W Bell, Belvedore, Bretforton Road, Badsey, of Mrs Rose Bell of Manor Cottage. Aldington.
Aged 78 years, Mrs Bell was the daughter of the late Mr & Mrs J Boswell of Evesham, and the widow of Mr Alf Bell, who died 18 years ago.
MR K GRINDLE MARRIED AT BADSEY
A wedding of considerable interest took place at St James’ Church, Badsey, on Saturday morning between Miss Elsie Mary Jelfs, eldest daughter of Mr & Mrs Eric Jelfs of Ivy House, Badsey, and Mr Kenneth Michael Grindle, eldest son of Mr & Mrs C H Grindle of Heysham House, Offenham Road, Evesham.
The ceremony was conducted by the Vicar (Rev W B Chapman).

A large congregation were present at St James' Parish Church, Badsey, on Saturday afternoon, when Miss Hilda May Reeves, only daughter of Mr & Mrs S F Reeves, of Bretforton Road, Badsey, was married to Mr Frank 'Knight, third son of Mr & Mrs G Knight of Middle Littleton.

Considerable interest was aroused in the wedding which took place at St James's Parish Church, Badsey, on Saturday between P/O Ronald Reeves, RN, youngest son of Mr & Mrs S F Reeves of Badsey and Miss Ellen Batchelor, daughter of Mrs Ellen Batchelor of Badsey and the late Mr A Batchelor of Pebworth.
