BADSEY WANTS MORE SPACE FOR RECREATION – But Where? Parish Council Discuss the Problem
An appeal by Mr P G Osborne against the refusal by Evesham Rural District Council to permit a petrol filling station at Brook Meadow, Synehurst, Badsey, has been turned down by the Minister of Housing and Local Government.
Good news for 76 Council house tenants in Synehurst, Badsey, emerged from Monday’s meeting of Evesham Rural District Council. Their houses are next on the list in the Council’s pre-war house-modernisation plan, and when they meet again next month councillors will have before them a scheme for providing the Synehurst tenants with hot water systems.
This was later approved in April 1959, as reported in The Birmingham Daily Post of Tuesday 21st April 1959:

BADSEY PARISH COUNCIL
A letter was received from the tenants at Synehurst complaining of the state of the footpath in the front of the houses between Badsey Pike and the Od Schools. The Clerk reported that the matter had already been brought to the notice of the highways authorities, but it was resolved that a further letter be sent to the Divisional Surveyor asking for repairs to be carried out as early as possible.
