The death occurred on Sunday after a long illness of Mrs Mary Ann Knight, wife of Mrs Charles Knight of Sands Lane, Badsey.  Mrs Knight was the eldest daughter of the late Mr & Mrs William Collett of Belle Vue, Badsey.  She was born in the village where, except for a period of four years at Worcester, she lived in the village all her life.  Mr & Mrs Knight had been married for 56 years.  Mrs Knight was 74 years of age.  She is survived by her husband, three sons and four daughters, with whom deep sympathy is expressed.  

BADSEY – DEATH OF MR CHARLES KNIGHT

By the death of Mr Charles Knight, aged 83 years, at 19 Synehurst, on Friday, Badsey has lost one of its oldest inhabitants.  He lived all his life in Badsey with the exception of four years which he spent at Worcester, and was very active up to about the last month of his life.  His wife predeceased him just over five years ago.  Mr Knight was a bell ringer for over 50 years and foreman of the Band for 27 years.

An important milestone was reached in the lives of Mr & Mrs William Knight of Hinton Villa, 9 Chapel Street, Badsey, on Monday when they celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
