Friday 4 March 1955 – Wedding of Mavis Eileen Wilkins at Badsey

WED AT ST JAMES, BADSEY – Miss M E Wilkins – Mr J Addis

The marriage was solemnised at St James’ Church, Badsey, on Saturday of Miss Mavis Eileen Wilkins, only daughter of Mr & Mrs Percy Wilkins of No 49 Synehurst Avenue, Badsey, and Mr John Addis, youngest son of Mrs M ~Addis of No 5 Evesham Road, Harvington.  The service was conducted by the Vicar, Rev W B Chapman, and Mrs G W Marshall was the organist.

Roots in Time – the excavations at New Farm, Norton

During the summer of 2022, a community excavation investigated millennia of stories buried within the landscape at New Farm, Norton. Geophysical survey of the site had revealed an Iron Age or Romano-British settlement, trackways and possibly earlier prehistoric activity too. Thanks to the excavation, we now have a window into what really went on, who lived there and when.
